UYCO: Let us be logical in our reasoning. It is unfair to castigate a performing governor in this manner without any element of fact in your accusation.You have not seen the BOQ of the project, you don't know the extent of the project, the journalist is not an engineer to understand the scope of the project. The leveling is an aspect of the job and it may not be completed within 10 days but a substantial part may have been completed especially those within the direction of flight of Mr President and top dignitaries. The project is a combination of so many aspect of the airport put together including expansion.There is no way one can observe the elevation through the photograph except you are there physically.
I asked you to identify what Uduaghan is suppose to do in Warri that he has not done, none of you has been able to point out those things but you keep ranting and insulting me illogically.
For the guy who talked about Sapele,Sapele is our head quarter, I know Sapele better than you. Have you been to Abigborodo- Ugbekoko road project site? Is the Sapele main market not almost completed?, Is the newly installed street light not working? Is the Sapele stadium project not ongoing? Have you been to new ogorode road recently? have you seen all the newly completed roads in Ogun aja? The above shows that you are a visitor to Sapele. What has the war between Vikings and got to do with Uduaghan? is he the cause of the war? He has provided security for the town, what else do you want him to do? We are not complaining, don't cry more than the bereaved

What are the alternative uses of 7.4 billion naira? Potholes decorate all the roads in warri. Refinery road that was supposed to be dualized is like bizzare maze as the construction company haphazardly zig zags all over the place. The entrance road into warri is always jammed as the traffic is so much beyond that road and the place needs a flyover now. No traffic light is working in warri. rubbish is always strewn all over the place. Armed robbery is ongoing now as I type.

The first sign of a performing governor in Nigeria is always the security situation in the state. Aside the fact that we do not have a state police in Nigeria, well meaning governors always secure thier state.

Secondly, they patch potholes...at least on major roads.

Thirdly, they build new roads plenty...in a hurry. Not roads to nowhere that take ten years to build.

Fourthly, the street lights and traffic lights work.

Fifthly, they pack the rubbish regularly.

Sixthly, build one grand overpriced project that will probably become a white elephant a few years after they leave office.

Now I agree that governors are supposed to do more, but in Nigeria for now, those are the characteristics of a performing governor.

Your governor aced the sixth criteria, and failed all else.

I weep for Delta State. Which hills are we talking about here? Which road is he constructing? The fool recently did resurfacing job on the best road in all of Asaba, leaving behind roads desperately in need of attention. Have you seen DLA Road recently? What about Jesus Saves road? Ezenei Avenue? I mean this are roads that demand serious rehabilitation, where the bulk of the populace ply daily. They have remained death traps and no go area due to their present state.
Who mentioned Asaba-Ughelli Dual carriage road? This road was divided into three sector and is been handled by three different construction firms. Have you seen the Asaba end of the road? The Ughelli axis? Listen i live in this state, do business in this state and i can conveniently tell you that this man is a failure simple.
The only reason he did the resurfacing job on Nnebisi road is simply because the President would be plying that route to Grand Hotel, the venue of the south-south summit. Immediately after the hotel, the sorrow continues. The drainage construction going on along Okpanam road and part of West end is a complete sham. This work has been on going since last year without any head way......Now don't talk about Warri. Warri is already a failed town. Nothing is happening there, or is it Sapele, Ughelli, mention one town or specific project that Uduaghan has successfully completed in his almost five years in office.
Delta state generate close to about 5 billion naira monthly internally, yes, five billion, and absolutely nothing to show for it.

From what I have read so far, this was a condition given by the regulatory authority before bigger planes can be allowed to land at the airport. If this is true, then the Governor is doing something right.

Delta is going higher under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.I expected them to criticize constructively so that we can draw the attention of the governor to it but it is obvious that they are DPP members who are more interested in his office than the development they use as smoke screen. They can wait for 2015 to try their luck.

Why will a governor spent ₦7.4bn To Demolish Hills Around Airport In 10 Days because the president is coming for summit, Delta people need good road, portable water & school. This money can build all this, what is the summit about ? Nairaland people we need to participate in politic for us to solve all this corruption

1. Why spent ₦7.4bn on hill which will not bring develop to the person
2. The said airport will only be used doing the summit ,I bet u, so what economic value.
3. ₦7.4b can get delta people water, good road and model school etc.

We all need to participate in politic, we can't leave development of this country to this people o, Shine your eye.

Is that a state priority?
Are there no more urgent issues to attend to?
Of what importance is that airport?
How many flights go there weekly?
One or two flights,smaller planes or helicopters.
Rural airport!

Hey, Warri is not a hell hole, Warri is an oil city that is better than Abuja in the eyes of Waferians. You are not from Warri that is why you cannot appreciate the city. Please Identify what the governor has not done in warri that should be done. Uduaghan is doing well and Delta State is working, to God be the glory.

I will not blame you until I know where you are coming from. You were probably living in a mangrove creek before now, so Warri has to be comparable to the Abuja described to you by a blind man.

The only visible sign of Uduaghan in Warri is the demolition/reconstruction of primary schools not done during long vacations; forcing children to sit outside to learn.

This is why we need to scrap many states. You have a divide a rule government in Nigeria, dividing the place into tiny states that cant generate anything but corrupt warrant chiefs. Why divide Ino state into Imo and wretched Abia states? How can these states avoid doing face me I face You with the FG for funds. How can so-called state assembly total only 15 folks that are suppossed to do what, maybe business meeting for their pockets? SOme states 12 folks calling themselevs assembly lol. After all the salaries of "state personnel" are paid, how can "governors" build highways, stadiums, roads, hospital centers, etc.? All hoping for FG this and that.Shame

I guess you divide a state into two, then the people would then be loyal to th state. "I'm from Ogun state and not Osun, I'm Enugu not Anambra, etc." Then you have less people you have to decieve, as in, you have to decieve only Abia's 1.2 million folks, as oppossed to an Abia and Imo (former Imo state) population of 3.5 million. Next, you give more states less, so there cannot be any substantial development, as oppossed to fewer states more. No wonder the governors of 1979-83 did more than today, as well as the regional premeirs of the 60's.

You have a few governors that with small allocation are doing fair achievements, and then you have governors of Delta, ABia, Rivers, and Zamfara, who should not be there today.

Over US $50 MILLION to clear hills in Asaba? Negro please.

Are we not going to get violent with these baboons? Wish the people could wake up from their Owambe Pastor flocking arses and begin kidnapping and shooting these monkeys that are killing our people and future generation.

What happened to Sinister Sekibo's wife that was kidnapped? Hope they dealt with her very well, sold her hummer, and paid their kids school fees with the loot.

I am vehemently opposed to state creation, and by that I mean ALL the states in Nigeria are products of invidious and mindless politics. Imagine how the Midwest came to be -through a thorough democratic process. Other regions would have emerged that way, but the process would be limited and very thorough- driven by REAL NEED, not some unfounded fears, suspicions and jealousy. cry

i assume the 10 days is a mistype or something?

i also assume there are actual hills which were going to be demolished although in hindsight i hope valid studies have been done which establish the feasibility of the project-eg with no environmental or cultural significance involved.

having said all that, the prospect of importing and concentrating a huge amount of explosives within a single region,allegedly under the auspices of govt approval and funding leaves one wondering what is really going on.
